After the Germans had learned about the existence of high power cavity magnetrons (early February 1943), they initiated a race against time, as to catch up as quickly as possible in the fields of cm radar.
This paper deals particularly with their designs of magnetrons between, say, λ of 5 and 1.75 cm.
